BRC in IPL 2009:
Robin Uthappa In, as a trade-off for Zaheer Khan. Kevin Pietersen & Jesse Ryder are the key players purchased by BRC. Likewise DC they are also underrated this time. They started there campaign with defeating the RR(Current Champion). They lost 4 consective matches which people thinks about their performance in 2008. But after losing 4 matches BRC won 3 consective matches which makes very tough to decide which team is going for Semi-Final. Then BRC was steady and moved to Semi-Final. Manish Pandey, who performed well in last 2 matches in League stages. He is the first Indian to hit a Ton in IPL History which helped BRC moved to Semi-Final.

They were facing the runner-up of the previous edition of IPL CSK. This time again its Manish Pandey who hit century against DC. He bated well by scoring 48 runs in 37 balls which helped BRC moved to Final.
Final:
Everyone who watched IPL inaugural season was surprised because of BRC and DC qualified for final. They ended inaugural season in bottom of the table but now they battle for Champion of IPL2009. As previous were each team faced before the match of semi-final went BRC a comfort victory were Manish Pandey hit his ton. So people except BRC had a great chance even bookies too. Like people thought and bookies predict the every first over went BRC ahead by getting Gilly took by Anil. Match still went to thriller and Finally DC won the match and declared as champion of IPL 2009.
